Starting in April, 2001, I put on a show at Wild Heaven brewery in Avondale, Georgia called “Kodac’s Last Thursday of Poetry and Song.” Named so because it takes place on the last Thursday of each month. The location is in the beer garden, so the first season went through October. We are in the second season now. We showcase poets and musicians before our featured performer comes on for a longer set. I close each show with a performance of spoken word and song. Usually several musicians join me. The event takes place between the hours of 6 and 9 pm.
